I have written my review on this book in another review thread. Dave Fasold, working with Ron Wyatt and other researchers and others, Began a well executed examination of the site, considering the dangers and political obstacles.Dave's book puts out a lot of Religious research from Dave's life and he expounds on the broad history as it relates to the subject. While the reading can be boring in some regards, Dave is sharing his knowledge and giving the reader more than needed to understand the discovery in other context.
Our 20th century experience must be put aside for the 10,000 or so years in which the Ark has been lost to time and people. However the Ark is now it is certainly not covered in ice. Science has volumes of petrified trees to show and how they are created. It should be no mystery to see the remains of a boat being uncovered over time. The location is smattered with 1000's of years of names, locations and evidence related to Noah. The Bible, Torah and Koran reference the area.
Taken separatey, each catagory of evidence can be disproven to a degree but when all catagorys are in harmony of presence, you cannot disprove that. If you have the grave with several parts of remains of life, it's hard to say it is not the remains of a man.
Read the book before it is lost to history. Someone is going to prove conclusively that site was a boat, it is only a matter of time. Ron Wyatt and Dave Fasold opened that door.

Still reading,so far very good book
This is a very thought provoking description of just what might indeed be the lost Ark.
David Fasold's work, the Ark of Noah, deserves careful study and in the end, I believe high praise. As a marine salvage expert and a student of ancient eastern languages, he was providentially qualified to discover the ancient evidence that documented the Ark's existence and position.
It is significant to note that David achieved conclusions, from his own independent research, that established in his own mind the position of the Ark prior to visiting Turkey to comprehend the ship itself. His book therefore rings with authenticity for here was a man who possessed the two essential skills necessary to make cohesive sense of the vessel shaped mound 17 miles from Mt Ararat in eastern Turkey.
Having visited the site myself, there is no doubt in my mind that David Fasold was indeed a gifted researcher and historian whose work of disclosure offers up sufficient evidence to seriously threaten the accepted dogma of the academic and scientific world.
Every thinking person therefore, who objectively reads and then authenticates to whatever extent they can, the content of this book, will have written a fresh page in their intellectual journal that conventional wisdom will not easily erase.
David Fasold, an expert on ship building, presents convincing arguments for the true location of The Ark of Noah.
This should be read by every fundamentalist who thinks the ark has to be on Mt. Ararat and who thinks the ark is a wooden box-barge. Fasold's analysis, fresh look, and breadth of scholarship is amazing for a former merchant seaman.
David Fassold's concept of the Ark of Noah as a ship made of reeds covered with a mastic-like polymer cement is more in keeping with the boat building techniques of Noah's day. Geopolymer cements look a lot like natural stone. It is thought much of the stones of the pyramids were actually cast geopolymer cements- using natrum and crushed limestone to form caustic soda which when combined with clay , sand and sea shells looks increadably like natural stone. While geologists claim this boat shape is just an unusual material geological formation it does not account for the fact that people who have stood on this formation have stated the walls have the smell of bitumen in the soil. Bitumen by its self would dry out and crack after a year allowing water in. Even though Fassold was convinced by geologist professor Plimmer that the boat shape was just a natural geological formation he said there is too much going on there to completely dismiss the Noah's Ark theory. Fassold thinks outside the box when looking at this site. He may not be 100% accurate but he challenges conventional religious thinking about Noah's Ark.
Today is two weeks before the release of the Hollywood production. David Fasold and Ron Wyatt bring us the story that is anathema to every atheist. Sorry guys! The word is out! Blow your smoke-screen somewhere else. Here is the modern-day testimony to the truth. Once you've read this book, you know that first order evidence exists for the Genesis story. The Smithsonian can't carry it off and hide it. Materialists can throw mud, but the Ark actually lifted itself out of the mud of the Turkish highlands. Their government considers it a national treasure. It's not going away. The trouble, then, is now you have to deal with the implications. Wyatt and Fasold disagree on much, but they dig deeply into the background of the story. Most profound read of my life! I've still got a copy on my desk after having read it forty years ago, that indicates that 4300 years ago, it rested in the mountains of Urartu, same time that "NOAA" core samples indicate a world-wide deluge of DUST. Same time that the oldest trees in existence begin their marked lifetimes, standing only upon the crests of the highest mountains, where they survived the Flood. Same time that the ancestors of all living things entered the Ark of Noah.
