Keiichi delves into the mysteries of the small town of Hinamizawa and discovers that something is very wrong and very very evil...

If you're expecting more of the same from the first volume, be warned: volume 2 is half again as long and absolutely brutal. The plot is vicious and complex, full of unexpected twists that will leave you guessing until the very end and long after you're done reading. The artwork is some of the creepiest in the entire series and actually made me physically jump like I was watching a horror movie rather than reading a manga of still images. This volume is pure horror and it's some of the best horror out there.

Be warned; this isn't a mystery that's going to hand its secrets over to you. Even by the end there's a lot of questions left unanswered and many of the clues are still hiding among the pages. But rest assured there IS an answer, even if Higurashi is going to make you agonize and search until it's finally revealed in the later "Answer Arcs". Until then the waiting and wondering is delicious agony.

Ahhh totally recommend buying the Higurashi series used! I saved so much money. These books literally have like one scuff on the binding and they are like a third of the price of the new books.
I bought this because I at least wanted to finish the arc, and also because I liked the manga so much (I can read one of these books in one hour)! This is where s*** hits the fan!
After seeing the anime (and buying the box set on here) I just knew I had to have the manga. And, seeing as how this arc, and its answer arc, are my most fav arcs out of the entire series this was a must have! Honestly, Higurashi fan or not, this is a great read for anyone that just loves a good mystery, full of twists and an ending that will make you want to throw the book across the room (in a good way mind you) All in all, as long as you've at least read the first one out of this arc (duh) I think just about ANYONE would love this! ^^
Very nice! It's just as good as if I got it fresh from a bookstore. I have been looking for this volume but I couldn't find it so this was really helpful to me.
I love Higurashi its an amazing story. I had the first part of this manga series. And now I have the 2nd part and I must say love it love it love it! The manga is amazing and alot better then the anime. I also grown really close to both mion and shion. I still like mion better but shions awsome as well.

This is one of the scariest things I've ever read. I was literally afraid to go to sleep for almost an hour after finishing it. My god, those last eight pages will haunt my dreams. Highly recommended. Even if you don't read volume 1 (or 3 depending on how you number the volumes), read this. Read this and be terrified.
